NEW can be a crazy wonderful thing...

I have come to the realization that I am not of the character that is easily intimidated by new moments that life may offer... and thrilled to be that way. A part of my job has been a totally new experience this year and has added an entirely new spin on what I accomplish work-wise in a day. I now know that the counselor's office is about the most dynamic place on a school campus. This then indicates to me that it is exactly where I need to be. No two days, or two hours really, are exactly the same. Boredom and routine do not exist there and, truth be known, aren't welcome. I used to look forward to riding roller coasters, now I look forward to being a counselor.... There you go.....
I have the blessing of many new things in my life and it is all a crazy wonderful thing...

Chaos can be an initiator of good things...

Well, I thought that I had lost it all, every grad school assignment had been dropped into a black hole in space. My computer with, what I thought, was an important and well documented travel through graduate school crashed... Worse than any nightmare I remember having. Thank God in Heaven that my computer savy brother worked something just short of a miracle and saved the swan that had already "sung"... I am now "back" in the joyous realm of emails, blogs, spreadsheets, TEA searches and academia.
My point with all this is that I have been reminded to appreciate those things that moments of chaos offer - focus, character, and an understanding that a circumstance like the one I encountered is truly small in comparison to many of life's struggles others face every day.
Blessings for your day, Lauren

The power of prayer and smart friends.....

I guess I have set up three or four other blogs in the wrong places or ways and then, with many others, lost the ability to figure out what I did wrong because of the weather interfering with internet access for several days. I am now up and running... well slow snail crawling actually... but will get the hang of this very soon. Please provide direction if it's obvious I am missing the train; I may just need a little nudge but feel free to shove if needed.
Regards, Lauren

Welcome to my blog spot

I am thrilled to say that I finally figured out how to do THE EASIEST technological thing in the world!!! Amazing how intimidating new ventures can be; BUT thanks to grad school - I am standing on "the edge" often and am pushed to do things I haven't done before. Much more than exciting when it all works!!
